Those who shop for breakfast every day may see their total increase grocery store receipts.

The Consumer Price Index shows that egg prices have increased by 36.8% compared to this period last year.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average price of a dozen A-sized eggs was $4.15 in December, up from $2.51 in December 2023.
