Kalvan Henderson is one of David Morrell's knockout victims who is suspected of having something in their fight. He came out of the woodwork to complain about his suspicions about her and suspect that something was wrong with the absence of a drug test for their fight in 2022.

Henderson (19-2-1, 13 KOs) was knocked out in the fourth round by Morrell (11-0, 9 KOs) on June 4, 2022 at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He said no drugs were tested for the fight and he felt something was suspicious. Although he has no proof and is speculating, he thinks something is up.

Morel looked thin in the fight and didn't look like anyone using PEDs, but Henderson is still questionable. Another of Morel's knockout victims, Senna Agbeko, spoke recently about his suspicions over the lack of drug testing. Even though he has no proof, he still talks.

Henderson believes WBC interim light heavyweight champion David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) will beat WBA 'regular' champion Morrell in their fight on February 1st as he says he is bigger and has better stamina. They are the same size, but oh well.

“Superman” Morrell? Henderson has his doubts

“I went to Morrell's second home in Minnesota. No one else wanted to fight him. I had a great game plan. I felt that the fight stopped early. Did the man (Morell) win the fight? “I'm catching him with body shots, and I'm hearing what the body shots are doing to him. I knew he would slow down eventually. That fight was supposed to be drug tested, and we both signed papers to be drug tested. We go to fight in the locker room, and the WBA forgets to order a drug test.

“So, it's another thing. We're not just fighting politics. We're fighting a potentially dirty fighter in Morrell…After the fight, there's still no drug test. There's something fishy. Superman only exists in comic books,” David Morrell said. Asked if there was anything “fishy,” Henderson said.

There was nothing “Superman” about scoring Calvin Henderson with a fourth-round knockout. He backed him up against the ropes and nailed him with several hard punches; The referee saw that Henderson was taking some wicked shots and stopped them.

He would have been hurt if he had let Morrell continue to bludgeon Henderson. There was plenty of time left in the round for the referee to continue the fight.

“There's a lot of money behind these guys, a lot of money out of their control. So, of course, they're going to put themselves in the best position possible,” Henderson said. “This dude (Morrell) was bigger than me in the ring on fight night. Warriors know. Before the weigh-in, he was drinking Gatorade before stepping on the scale. Something fishy.”

It's a big win for Henderson who concluded from Morel drinking Gatorade at the weigh-in that he was using PEDs. It's a crazy assumption on his part. He's drinking Gatorade; Therefore, he is dirty. It doesn't make sense, but if you're trying to figure out why Morel beat you, you need to find something instead of admitting you weren't good enough.

Benavidez wants to beat Morel?

“I think Benavidez is going to beat Morrell for pure size and stamina. Benavidez threw hard punches for 15 rounds. So, I think his relentless pressure and nonstop (punching) is going to make the difference in this fight. I don't think Benavidez's power will carry over to 175,” Henderson said.

Calvin is a little confused. Benavidez is no bigger than Morrell, and his stamina at 175 is no better than his 175. We saw that in Benavidez's last fight at 175 when he gassed out after six rounds against Oleksandr Govozdyk. Morel is four inches taller than Benavidez, punches harder, and has better hand speed and technical ability. You wouldn't expect Henderson to know the details between Morel and Benavidez because he's a fighter and doesn't analyze fights like writers do.

“At 168, he was huge. Some people call him a 'weight bully', but at 175, it's a normal weight class for him. So, I think you're going to see a long fight for Benavidez and Morrell, probably, even in that weight class, because of the bigger guys,” Henderson said.

Things are going to be very different for Benvidez at 175 compared to his bully days at 168, where he routinely enjoyed a huge size advantage over his mix of old, weak and badly flawed opposition that his promoters set him up for at 28. In the first 29 fights of his career.
