Promoter Oscar De La Hoya has revealed he is in talks to host a Golden Boy promotion – Matchroom Boxing 5 vs 5 event in 2025.

It will be a contest for De La Hoya to match his top five Golden Boy fighters with Eddie Hearn's top five available guys. The two fighters will compete to prove who has the top guy.

Golden Boy-Matchroom Showdown

“We are continuing discussions and preparing to do something big in 2025,” Golden Boy promoter Oscar de la Hoya said. Fight Hub TV About Eddie Hearn's plans to compete 5 vs 5 with Matchroom Boxing next year.

De La Hoya already has one of his fighters, Floyd Schofield Jr., challenging Hearn's fighter, WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, at Turki Al-Sheikh's event in Riyadh on February 22. Oscar is confident that Scofield will upset Shakur in that fight.
