Two Coatsville, PA. Boxers are mentally dealing with injury from boxing. Former IBF Featherweight Champion Calvin 'Silky Smooth' Grove and once Petan Heavyweight Jimmy Clark are both suffering from nursing facilities in dementia.

Grove is in Phoenixville, PA, and though he is almost forty pounds heavy, his presence is good, though his past career memories are canceled. I was told that he would not be able to go to the restroom alone for fear that he would want to leave this facility without knowing where he was going to the former assistant instructor Claud Mangum.

In his early professional days, Grove Instructor John Tritz and Assistant Instructor in Pottown were in the camp of Mangam, PA. Finally Grove Josephine moved to Texas under the Houston Boxing Promotion of Abercombi.

Grove won the IBF Faatherweight Championship in France, defeated Champion Antonio 'Tonito' Rivera, 1-4-5-6, Puerto Rico's four-round stop.

In the second defense of Grove, he went to Mexico against George's Payage in Mexico, with a record of 12-2, with a 12-5 with the pause, won a majority decision and won the title from Groo.

After two battles in their match again in Mexico, Grove was stopped in the eleventh round. In his next battle, he won the IBF USBA Super Featherweight title by defeating Antony English in Moscow, Russia. Two more wins while the New York's majority decision was ahead and he stopped him in eleven rounds 'BT Express' Taylor 3-2.

Grove lied to the club's fighter Bryant Padane in eight rounds of Philadelphia's legend Blue Horizon won his next three battles. Subsequently, he defeated Regalio Tur by a decision to win the USA New York State title.

Again 'down' he defeated ex-Australian and Commonwealth champions Lester Ellis by 35-3 by a divided decision. Also, he defeated the WBC Continental Champion Pitt Taliofero 24-1 by a decision divided into Mississippi.

Grove ended his career 2-5 four times. Miguel Angel Gonzalez 34-0 in the first WBC World Lightweight title. Then the WBA Intercontinental Champion Angel 'El Diablo' Manfredd, 12-2-1, IBF Super Featherweight Champion Arturo 'Thunder' Gatty, 27-1 and IBF and WBC Light Welterweight Champion Russia Birth Coastia 'Testia' Tizzu 'Tizzu' Tizzu 'Tizzu' Tizzu, Tizzu. He finished his career at 49-10, stopped seven times. Why, especially at the end of his career, was kept with several IVFF induces?

These seven stopps ended their ending in 1998. When I talked to him, his memories had gone about his past boxing career.

Heavyweight Jimmy Clark, among the amateurs in 1975, lost to the future world champion Michael Doks for the title of AAU. In 1976, he lost to the future world champions John Tate in Golden Gloves. In 1977, he defeated Igor Visotsky, Russia in a Russian-USA dual competition. In the same year, he defeated Future World Champion Tony 'TNT' TUBS and Future World Champion Greg Page for the title of National Golden Gloves.

In 1978, he lost the 3 -time Olympic Gold Medal to Cuban Tufilo Stevenson, once in Cuba and twice in the United States.

The Pro's clerk had 18-1 records with 16 stops. He was 16-0 when he lost to Ragi Gross, 15-3 in the nine rounds of scienton. Two weeks before the fight, his canal was close to death and he refused to move out of the fight but was mentally carrying a heavy burden. After two wins, he finished with a competition against 9-2, Kimuel Odam in 1989.

Clark says trainer Angelo Dundy was involved in several fights.

Clark Norrishtown is in the Town Manor East Facility in PA. He mentioned the numerous Philly fighters in the past, but he asked half a dozen times to know if I knew Duke Doucent on Philadelphia. At our second meeting, I brought him a picture of Dugant, Me and Fillie 'Gypsy' Joe Harris whom I was trying to re -install after discovering blind eyes. His face shines on seeing the doucent.

Both Grove and Clark residents are in the 5th round of their lives due to boxing from the same city Kotsville.
