Cruz (4-0, 2 KOs) and Salcido (20-1, 14 KOs) will fight a 10-round lightweight title eliminator for the WBC belt. This fight should be the main event, but Horn is pushing Pacheco (22-0, 18 KOs) to turn to stardom as quickly as possible.

“It's time to fight. Talking doesn't matter. It's time to perform,” Steven Nelson said afterward weight Friday for a fight against Diego Pacheco on Saturday night. “My focus and my determination. Nothing I haven't seen. I saw what I was supposed to do at camp.

“He is young. He cannot be seen. He can't prepare for what I'm bringing. It's going to be an amazing night for being so cold. You saw the cool front. It went all over the country. Such a cool time, baby,” Nelson said.

“I'm ready to go. I am excited for this fight. I hope Steven Nelson is ready for what's coming tomorrow night. This is the DP show. If he doesn't know, he's going to fight,” Diego Pacheco said. “Steven Nelson is a good fighter, but he's never been with someone like me. I promise. You guys will see tomorrow.

“I have prepared this as the last fight of my life and I am ready to go and put on another great show for all my people. Absolutely, and I haven't come this far. I'm not letting anyone take that from me. This is the DP era, and I'm here to stay. I've shown that I belong with the elite, and it's time for us to go,” said Diego.
