Boxing Results: Eric Priest defeated 'Hark' Tyler Howard


Undefeated middleweight Eric Priest gave Tyler 'Hark' Howard a boxing lesson in winning all ten rounds for the vacant WBA Continental North American title on Thursday night at Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Priest, 15-0 (8) defeated 'Hark' Tyler Howard, 20-3 (11) over 10 rounds. In the first round of four, Priest Job fought against the incoming Howard. Priest drew blood from Howard's nose in the final moments of the fourth round.

Fifth through the tenth, Priest gave Howard a boxing lesson, using his jab perfectly as Howard came forward but couldn't get past Priest's jab. The scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90.

The referee was Ray Corona.

Super featherweight southpaw Leonardo 'Bazooka' Sanchez, 8-0 ()), impressed to defeat Joseph 'Jaguar' Cruz, 10-12 ()) over six lopsided rounds.

In the first four rounds, it was all southpaw Sanchez cruising on defense with a flurry of punches. Sanchez drew blood from Cruz's nose in the fifth round.

Referee Rudy Baragan. All scores were 60-54.

Super welterweight Jordan 'The Patriot' Pantheon, 11-0 (9) defeated Deodre 'Dixianimal' Pettas, 12-4 ()) over 10 rounds.

In the first round, the attacker Pantheon did well but suffered a hair cut due to a head clash. Pettus came back well in the second through the sixth round, tackling Pantheon, but not well enough to win the rounds. Both had their moments in the eighth round, with Pantheon knocking out a countering Pettus.

The ninth and tenth rounds went back-to-back, with Pantheon suffering a contusion around his left eye.

The referee was Thomas Taylor. Scores 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93.

Super welter Grant Flores, 8-0 (6), stopped David Lobo Ramirez, 17-4 (12) at 2:59 of the second round of a scheduled six-round bout.

In the second round, in the final seconds, Flores dislodged Ramirez's nose, taking him down for an 8-count, causing referee Ivan Guillermo to wave it off.

18-year-old super lightweight Kaiden Griffiths, 3-0 (3), stopped Mark Missiura, 3-7-1 (3) at 1:43 of the second round of a scheduled four-round bout.

In the second round, Griffiths landed a vicious left to the body that dropped Misioura, who was up at 9, but referee Rudy Baragan waved it away.

Bantamweight southpaw Jordan 'Brazen Bull' Fuentes, 3-0 (0) defeated Brandon 'Uriel' Badilo, 0-3-1 (0) over four rounds.

The southpaw Fuentes struggled against the aggressive Badillo in the first two rounds. In the third round, De Fuentes dropped Badillo with a right hook to the chin in the final fifty seconds for an 8-count by referee Ivan Guillermo.

All scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 40-35.
