White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt teased the announcement during an interview on “FOX & Friends” on Tuesday morning. According to him, Trump will hold an event at 16:00 for the details of this initiative.

Leavitt confirmed that the initiative does not apply to the California wildfires, as Trump has already signed executive orders related to that crisis.

As a candidate in 2016, Trump promised to pass a $1 trillion infrastructure bill through Congress. He talked about this topic often during his first term as president from 2017 to 2021, but to no avail.

His Democratic successor, Joe Biden, signed a $1 trillion infrastructure bill in 2021 with Republican and Democratic lawmakers to fund thousands of projects to rebuild roads and bridges and fund new climate resilience and broadband initiatives.

“Today I will sign a number of documents historical executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the full recovery of America and the revolution of common sense,” the country's 47th president swore during his inauguration speech at the US Capitol on Monday.
