More than 15 thousand people participate in fighting fires Southern California. Crews came from all over the country, even from Mexico, to prevent further damage. As they stand on the front line, others are now stepping onto the field.

This is an all deck effort in Southern California. Two at most devastating fires they burn an area larger than the entire city of San Francisco in the state's history.

Fox tagged along with several local residents dedicated to making this difficult time easier for fire crews fighting flames.

“We've been told that some of these firefighters have five or six drinks a day,” said Santa Monica resident Dylan Jones.

Energy drinks are just one of the things firefighters need as they face the flames.

Rosen and his friends grew up around the Palisades. When the fire broke out, they received a text from their firefighter friends about what they needed on the front lines.

“It's crazy … it's just, 'buy this, this and this,' and (the creation) started,” Santa Monica native Evan Rosen said.

So far, Rosen and friends have raised nearly $10,000 to meet the needs of firefighters.

She and her friends continue to run to local stores and restaurants every day to buy lotion, sunscreen, pain relievers and medicine. hot meals national guardsmen, firefighters, policemen, etc.

“We're just trying to do our part, trying to help them, trying to help these firefighters. I mean, a lot of people are devastated. It's a tough time … but the community is coming together as a city,” said the Santa Monica native. Ray Manicini.

Their efforts extend far beyond Santa Monica. The power of social media has taken their search internationally.

“My cousin Aidan also re-shared one of my posts and Venmo is not something they use in the UK and they were all downloading apps. We had five or ten people sending money. I had friends from college who moved. To Portugal, 'hey, what can I do remotely?' Jones said.

The group says they will continue as long as the community is willing to help. The latest appeals from the front include liquid IVs, unscented Chapstick, sunscreen, energy drinks, facial wipes and hot, healthy meals.
